Aboriginal people will have greater access to job opportunities in health care through a partnership between the Province of BC, Vancouver Coastal Health and Aboriginal organizations .
Through the BC Aboriginal Workforce Strategy (formerly known as Aboriginal Employment Partnership Initiative), Vancouver Coastal Health will identify future job opportunities and share the information with Aboriginal organizations so they can better match training programs to the wide range of upcoming jobs within the health sector. Vancouver Coastal Health currently employs more than 27,000 people.
